MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Jan 18

Instrument: modspec + echelle CCD

Worked for 8 hours (part of the night)
Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from 0 MST until end.
   Beg: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable, open
   Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable, open
   End: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable, closed

Observing Summary:

Clear with good seeing until about midnight, and then clouding
up as cirrus rolled in ahead of the next storm.  Very productive
while open.   The dome tracked perfectly all night, but the 
telescope is behaving badly -- see the rather lengthy trouble
report.
