MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Jun 20 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: modspec + echelle CCD Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Observing Summary: After a rather grim-looking day with lots of cloud, and storms brewing east of Tucson, it cleared out very nicely by evening and the night was very good. There were some residual clouds around, especially in the east. Still very warm, dropping only to 80F at the end. Winds less than last night, and seeing was somewhat better.
