MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Mar 16 Observer(s): Columbia Astro Class Institution(s): Columbia University Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Tonight's observation consisted of observing a number of bright galaxies and a handful of nebulae. Towards the end of the night, a quasar was observed spectroscopically. Some difficulty was experienced with the movement and alignment of the dome. The pointing of the telescope and the opening of the dome would not match up after slewing to targets. Attempts were made to fix it but it still persisted as an issue periodically. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Mar 17 [6:08:12]
