MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 May 01 Observer(s): Hodges-Kluck, Lee Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: OSMOS B4K Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The weather and seeing were very good all night long, with almost no clouds. We observed the main target for most of the night in V and H-alpha images. We noticed part-way through the night that the fluxes in the V band, but not H-alpha, underwent something like a state change in which the count total dropped by a factor of ~2 for a given exposure time and did not recover for the rest of the night. More details are given in the trouble report, but we are not sure if this is actually a problem with the telescope/filter. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 May 2 [5:39:30]
