MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Oct 18 Observer(s): Fesen & Weil Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Echelle Direct Worked for 3 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Partly clear during first half of the night, with periods of denser clouds plus cirrus for the rest of night. Telescope jumped once ~2.2 s in RA while observing at Dec +60 which caused us to pause exposure and move telescope back to guide position. We do not suspect the problem is in the guider. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Oct 19 [4:54:05]
