MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Sep 03 Observer(s): Gilligan Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: TIFKAM Worked for 4 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from Off until On. Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: There were clouds to begin the night. I started observing around 10:30 PM. There were many periods of clouds nearly covering the whole sky, then going away, then coming back. Even when there weren't noticeable clouds, the seeing wasn't that great. I also almost literally ran into a skunk outside by the little steps. He didn't seem concerned about my flashlight or my presence! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Sep 4 [5:39:32]
