MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2017 Sep 04 Observer(s): Gilligan Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: TIFKAM Worked for 7 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 1830 until 2230. Beg: Seeing 20 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Observing Summary: I started off the night with thunderstorms right around sunset. I did the lightning shutdown for both the 1.3 and 2.4 m telescopes. When I turned back on the 2.4, I had some issues with Prospero that were slightly my own making. I documented them in a trouble report. I had no issues turning everything back on on the 1.3m, but it might be a good idea to check tomorrow. I also had a weird issue with the TCS to the next object causing the telescope to move without me saying go. I also have a trouble report for this. At 4:30 we had a power blip, but everything seemed to be running fine after it. Only the lights flickered. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Sep 5 [5:53:06]
