MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2018 Apr 08 Observer(s): Hodges-Kluck, Hillig Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 4:00 until 5:00. Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The night started with a few high clouds, then became clear, and then at about 4:00 am thicker clouds rolled in. We observed NGC 4395 all night. The focus continued to change a little and we managed it with the hand paddle. It slipped in both directions, with no obvious reason (after we pointed to NGC 4395, we did not move targets until close). The magnitude of the change was smaller this evening, with about 10 units/40 min. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2018 Apr 9 [5:07:46]
