MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2018 Feb 06 Observer(s): Douglas, Weaver, Carmichael Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: OSMOS/R Worked for 8 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Winds from 0200 until 0400. Beg: Cirrus, Winds High Mid: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: It was very gusty at the beginning of the night, and blowing dust. We opened a bit after UT~3:30, but then had major guiding (and pointing?) issues that took us about an hour to deal with. After that things smoothed out, but there were high thin clouds that lowered our data quality quite a bit. (Winds weren't really above the limit, but there's no menu entry for dust!) ------------------------------ Submitted on 2018 Feb 7 [6:26:42]
