MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2018 Feb 23 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Modspec + Echelle Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 11 PM until 1 AM. Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Mostly clear, though cloudy for a couple hours around the middle of the night. Seeing a bit mediocre. Very cold, dropping to 22 F at the end; windy at start, much calmer at end. Humidity got close to limit on one occasion but subsided. Seeing a bit soft. No major problems. Guide buttons are intermittent; monitor in the dome was illegibly dark (maybe the cold?) and I didn't figure out how to adjust it. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2018 Feb 24 [7:22:32]
