MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2018 Jun 02 Observer(s): Will Clarkson, Noah Vowell, Austin Blevins Institution(s): University of Michigan Dearborn Instrument: Andor Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: After evening twilight flats, we took 20 5-second exposures on flux standard feige 34. After this, we took 25 minutes of exposures on XTEJ1118+480 while it was still twilight. We then observed CSS1735+15 for two hours. After this, we observed V404 Cyg for 5.5 hours. We finished the night by taking 2 minutes of exposures on flux standard BD+284211. On our first target with tracking (XTEJ1118+480), we encountered the same tracking problem as the previous night (very large positional rms, visible target drift). Following the procedure suggested in our problem report for the night beginning 2018 Jun 01 solved this problem, and only a small number of images were impacted. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2018 Jun 3 [5:12:07]
