MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2018 Jun 07 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: modspec + echelle Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 0.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 0.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: By far the best night of the run -- very good seeing and transparency. No technical problems. Note that the seeing estimates I make are guesstimates -- I'm not measuring any FWHMa. I had decent seeing in morning twilight, so I put a nice 10th-mag standard star on the slit jaws and took a movie with the Andor scanning through the focus. This should be helpful I think. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2018 Jun 8 [5:38:41]
