MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2018 Mar 01 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: modspec + echelle Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Had a slow start due to a shutter malfunction, but otherwise a smooth night. Somewhat warmer, very clear; moon was exactly full at the beginning of the night, and quite a sight as it rose a few minutes before sunset. Seeing was good (and the focus works!) so managed to get some good data despite the extremely bright moon. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2018 Mar 2 [6:31:05]
