MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2018 May 13 Observer(s): Ryan Chornock Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.25 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Quite a few patchy clouds around in late afternoon, but they moved off to the east within an hour or so after sunset and it was clear for the rest of the night. Kitt Peak apparently remained closed due to high winds, but down here conditions were fine: 10mph with gusts to 20mph. No obvious blowing dust, either. I began the night at high airmass and the image quality wasn't great, but back at low airmass the seeing was moderately good. Overall, a good night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2018 May 14 [5:30:52]
