MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2018 May 21 Observer(s): Rupert Institution(s): MDM Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 7 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm, Dust Mid: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: There was an abundance of dust in the air during the early goings. Didn't open up until around 10:30. The rest of the night was mostly fine. There seems to be something weird going on with the HgNe lamp. Sometimes a majority of the spectral lines do not show up in the image. I had mild success taking a different arc lamp image, then going back to the HgNe lamp, but not 100%. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2018 May 22 [5:34:24]
