MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Apr 04 Observer(s): Clowe, Shamloumehr Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 6 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Winds all night. Beg: Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Clear, Winds High End: Clear, Winds High Observing Summary: Telescope problems at start of night. Kept getting psf extended in a given direction, typically 1 x2-3 . Couldn't keep guiding more than ~10 minutes before losing guide star, likely due to the 25-30 mph wind gusts. Occasionally saw double stars in the e-w direction. Gave up after trying to repeatedly align the slit masks only to lose the guide star and have the telescope shift a few arcseconds away. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Apr 5 [0:47:44]
