MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Apr 06 Observer(s): Kay/Moran Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: CCDS Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing n/1.a arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: We're happy to report that everything went smoothly. The telescope worked well -- no problems at all. Target acquisition went smoothly (even with the slit viewer monitor in the dome) and guiding was completely steady. It does seem that when tracking (but not guiding) objects drift west more rapidly than we recall. But, again, there were no issues at all with guiding. The focus temp compensation appears to have worked really well -- no noticeable focus changes during the night. Seeing was pretty good, and no evidence of clouds all night. No sign of cirrus here in morning twilight, so it was probably photometric. We got some great data. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Apr 7 [5:18:41]
