MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Dec 11 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 9 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Arrived at the observatory about 10 PM after traveling. Opened, resolved the pointing problem by going to defaults and finding a star, refocused, and then worked the rest of the night. Took the startup slow. Conditions were quite good, a little high cloud at first, but very clear later with decent seeing. It was, however, full moon. I focused the osmos camera at the start, and found it had been left a couple hundred units too high. Only one glitch -- the repeater monitor in the dome for setting the rotator isn't coming on. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Dec 12 [7:29:28]
