MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Dec 14 Observer(s): Thorstensen&students Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 2 until 4. Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Clear but breezy with only-ok seeing until after midnight, when we had episodes of patchy moonlit high cloud, which made a couple of hours' worth of observations unusable. Humidity rose through the night but stayed (just) below limits. Dewar did not fog. One glitch - the guide probe froze, cured by power-cycling the MIS control box. Started training graduate student Aylin Garcia-Soto. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Dec 15 [6:35:39]
