MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Jul 27 Observer(s): Clarkson, Fiolka, Boyd Institution(s): UM-Dearborn Instrument: ANDOR Worked for 5 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from start until 00:00. Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Observed V404 Cyg for ~5 hours, in the latter half of the night after conditions improved. First half of the night was mostly cloudy, second half of the night had mostly cirrus clouds, then towards the end, patchy clouds appeared. Problem: Minor MIS problem (probe motor not shutting off at initialization) that did not impact our observing.
