MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Jun 03 Observer(s): Wagner and Ierace Institution(s): OSU Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Very productive night of imaging and photometry of Galactic black hole candidates and faint classical novae. Tracking stopped working around 23:30 even though TCS reported that it was functioning. Had to restart the TCS. Then guiding would not work and ended up restarting the guider software as well. Had serious guiding issues afterwards. Guide star would tend to drift out of the guide box regularly. Pulled it back by driving the telescope West. RA track rate might not be right. Later in the night it worked just fine however. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Jun 4 [4:42:15]
