MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Jun 08 Observer(s): Ryan Chornock Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 9.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Intermittent cirrus during the night, but mostly clear. The automatic temperature compensation for the focus had been working most of the run, but over the course of the night I found that the image quality was deteriorating. By ~2am, I noticed that the stars were officially donuts, so I increased the focus target position from 5350 to 5475 and that seemed to work for the rest of the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Jun 9 [5:18:13]
