MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Jun 28 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 5 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 10 PM until end. Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable, not photometric Mid: Seeing 2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Didn't look good in the afternoon but improved for a while after sunset, with only very thin high cloud moving through. Around 10 PM rafts of much thicker high cloud started coming through from the south; I managed to get some usable exposures by shooting through holes, but it was pretty tough sledding. Gave up around 3 AM. Equipment functioned well. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Jun 29 [3:43:19]
