MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Mar 10 Observer(s): Ryan Chornock, Laura Herzog Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 1.5 hours (first half of the night) Bad weather most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Overcast, Winds Moderate End: Overcast, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: It was clear but breezy at sunset, so we opened normally. Then the humidity started to rise until we had to close around 8:15pm as it spiked up above 85%. While the humidity hovered around 80% for the next several hours, the clouds rapidly increased to the point of being completely overcast. After midnight, the humidity fell back down, but there was still substantial patchy cloud cover moving past us. The gaps in the cloud cover never lasted long enough to make it worthwhile to reopen. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Mar 11 [4:35:25]
