MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 May 30 Observer(s): Melso Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: CHaS Mechanical Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Good night observing galactic, planetary and nebular targets with CHaS. Dark time used for pinhole alignment tests and lamp illumination check. We also completed instrument flexure tests. When we were testing spectrograph flexure at high hour angle (~5 hours) we heard a noise and noticed that the rotator angle had changed to ~84 deg. We brought the telescope back to Zenith and reset the rotator angle to zero. Because this is a new configuration, we are not filing a trouble report. Will discuss with Eric tomorrow. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 May 31 [3:27:34]
