MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Nov 06 Observer(s): Podjed Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 1.5 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Opened like normal before sunset, some high and low clouds in the sky and overhead. Started taking spectroscopic & photometric flats, noticed an artifact/blob in all of the images at the same spot on detector that needs to be looked at in the a.m. (per Eric). Closed earlier than planned. Obscuring clouds (that would make keeping a guide star to track on difficult) remained until about 2:30 a.m., with high level clouds sticking around. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Nov 7 [5:36:46]
