MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Nov 11 Observer(s): Podjed Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 10.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 01h00 until 03h00. Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.19 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Able to open up as usual; clouds from this afternoon had cleared up. Around 22h30 the power flickered off/on twice; from the radio, seems like it was the case for the whole mountain. 23h00 power flickered again, not as long and did not happen again. When I had to change rotator angle, the hand paddle in the dome did not work; neither did the rotator gui inside. Found similar issue in a previous trouble report and power cycled the rotator electronics box on the telescope- fixed the problem. Heavy clouds came in ~1h00-~3h00. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Nov 12 [5:28:22]
