MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Oct 02 Observer(s): Fesen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Clear skies with decent seeing. Zodiacal light quite apparent in eastern sky just before twilight. As happened once tonight and a few times on previous nights, the telescope would suddenly jump 10-30 arcsec in RA even while guiding. For what its worth, it never happened when the Movement GUI was closed and off the monitor screen. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2019 Oct 3 [5:33:06]
