MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2019 Sep 08 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 0.2 hours (part of the night) Bad weather most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 21:00 until end. Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Mid: Fog/Low Clouds, Winds Moderate End: Fog/Low Clouds, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Opened very briefly in twilight and grabbed a spectrum of a velocity standard star. Closed up as conditions began to deteriorate -- for once these really were the threatening clouds the KPNO website warns against! A while later there were a few bursts of rain, followed by lowering clouds turning to fog. Winds not high, but a bit stronger than they have been.
