MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2020 Feb 19 Observer(s): David Schiminovich and Nicole Melso Institution(s): Columbia University Instrument: CHaS Worked for 1 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: After installing CHaS on the telescope in the afternoon the first part of the night was devoted to additional instrument work and initial focus alignment checks with calibration lamp. Later in the night (after 1:30 AM) we began to observe astronomical targets. However we ran into an issue (see trouble report) where the telescope slewed to an unexpected position, near the north celestial pole. Subsequently we were unable to slew to any other target and needed to close for the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2020 Feb 20 [4:28:03]
