MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2020 Mar 01 Observer(s): Wei Sun Institution(s): University of Michigan Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 16 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 16:00 until 23:00. Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Clear, Winds Moderate, high humidity Observing Summary: Cloudy weather at beginning, and the sky turns to clear at around 23:00pm. High humidity in the morning (above 80% since 06:00am). The approaching limit of the telescope was reached around 05:50am, and recovered with hand paddle (rotation eastward). Two other things should also be noticed: 1. several dark spots exist in every image (the most prominent one is at around (1930, 2464) of image coordinate: those spots even exist in the data we obtained in January! I suspect there are some dirt on the detector; 2. When I took the Hg+Ne lamp spectrum, some lines looks much fainter than several days ago. I suspect that the Neon light becomes dim during the past week. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2020 Mar 2 [7:46:40]
