MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Dec 10 Observer(s): Thorstensen, Garcia-Soto, and students Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS+B4K Worked for 4 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from start until 2 AM. Beg: Overcast, Winds Moderate Mid: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: As predicted, high humidity and cloud through most of the night. In the wee hours, the sky cleared and the humidity dropped quickly, and Kitt Peak opened up. We opened, flushed the dewar windows with dry nitrogen, and started observing for a a productive few hours. No problems at all, except I noticed that one of the mirror cover indicators stayed red even when the mirror was fully open (I checked); it later turned green, so I suspect an intermittent switch. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Dec 11 [6:59:35]
