MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Dec 20 Observer(s): Rupert Institution(s): MDM Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 9 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Overcast, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Clouds were an issue all night. Started patchy and increased in coverage. Stopped observing around 2:30 and closed at 4:30. No focus issues thanks to the work Eric did today. Telescope jumped eight times in the first 2 1/2 hours. Decided to monitor this closer by applying tape to the polar axis whenever a jump occurred. Perhaps that will be telling. Also noting time and HA of jumps in my observing log. All jumps tonight occurred between 1:30 and 4 in HA. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Dec 21 [4:36:28]
