MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Jun 08 Observer(s): Melso/Sitaram Institution(s): Columbia University Instrument: CHaS Worked for 8.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: A nice night on-sky with CHaS! Made some adjustments to the camera angle/ centering early in the night. Observed many of the galaxy and nebula targets in our rotation and collected excellent images in the dark time! Detector noise pattern seems to be fainter or at least not a limiting factor after the adjustments made this morning. We are no longer seeing the diamond pattern, although maybe we see a low-amplitude different pattern (possibly because we now have such a low background). We are not concerned about its impact. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Jun 9 [4:59:42]
