MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Nov 11 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: A nice clear night, but somewhat breezy at times and with seeing not quite as good as a couple of nights ago. The airbags generally worked, but HP2 went bad for a bit (see trouble report). Stepped out just before the start of twilight and saw pretty striking zodiacal light, and also a very bright satellite which proved to be the ISS, even though I wasn't looking for it. Generally a very productive night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Nov 12 [6:32:28]
