MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Oct 10 Observer(s): Fesen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 0.90 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 0.95 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Another perfect night...great seeing (< 1 arcsec all night), clear skies, and no wind. Wish all nights were like this. A great run. But tonight like a few nights ago, the telescope jumped North-South (!) by a few arcseconds during a long exposure (~20 minutes). Happened when looking at the same object. Huh. Never saw that before. Otherwise, no instrument issues. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Oct 11 [3:25:36]
