MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2021 Sep 28 Observer(s): Rupert Institution(s): MDM Instrument: OSMOS/B Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing .8 arcsec, Smoke, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Smoke, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Smoke, Winds Calm Observing Summary: According to NOAA there was a large plume of smoke that covered western AZ. It's possible a thin layer of that crept our way, though I couldn't really tell. It was a hazy night regardless but the seeing at the beginning was very good. Had to tighten up the cam on the RA drive again tonight to stop the telescope from dragging the guide star off target. It was nice to actually get a full night of observing in! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2021 Sep 29 [6:02:12]
