MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2022 Jan 11 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS + B4K Worked for 11 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds High Observing Summary: High clouds around all night. They were fairly heavy at start so I delayed opening for a while; then the sky was milky under a bright moon, but the clouds were not opaque. Finally the sky was mostly clear. I was able to work all the time I was open without losing guide stars. Seeing was mediocre, generally around 2.5 arcsec, but never terrible. The wind kicked up later in the night. So overall, not a great night, but usable for brighter targets, and I made a fair amount of hay. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2022 Jan 12 [6:57:45]
