MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2022 Jan 16 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS + B4k Worked for 6 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: There was a moderately clear intarval early on and I got some data then, but when my highest-prioriy object rose, the clouds became heavier and more persistent. Because there were holes here and there I tracked it for several hours, without getting anything usable in the east, where I wanted it to be sure of the daily alias. I wss finally rewarded with a few good spectra, and closed up before 4 to head for the airport. I had no troubles with the dome, but sent it home manually, since the home sensor is apparently not working. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2022 Jan 17 [3:57:43]
