MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2023 Jun 21 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 7.5 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable, mostly clear End: Seeing 1. arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: The dome was stuck at 167 degrees azimuth, as reported earlier, so I observed non-northern targets as they transited through the dome slit. This was limiting, but the telescope and instrument worked well. Cloudy at sunset, clearing rapidly; some intervals of high cloud during the night, but mostly quite good with good seeing, too. A shoutout to Tony and Eric, who seem to have fixed the dome for the coming night, and also to Rick Pogge, who -- now that we have fiber -- was able to update this web form to include 2023 as a choice of year! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2023 Jun 22 [16:29:28]
