MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2023 Jun 22 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 7 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Very good night weather-wise, but - the dome rotation froze yet again, this time just south of east. As with the previous two nights I worked the rest of the night with the dome rotation disabled, observing targets as they became accessible. The emergency cable plug is awkwardly placed and I didn't see a safe way for me to reach to it, especially since I'm alone, so I left the dome open. Thankfully the weather is very good. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2023 Jun 23 [4:43:36]
