MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2023 Jun 25 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Smoke, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Smoke, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Smoke, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Cloudless but a bit hazy, probably smoke from distant wildfires; sun was reddish at sunset. Seeing was decent, and I worked well all night. I did a fair number of target changes which gave the dome something of a workout, and had no problems. With the restoration of fiber, Gallo's group was on the 1.3m, making it the first time in a while that I've used this telescope without using the 1.3m in parallel. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2023 Jun 26 [5:05:46]
