MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2023 Nov 14 Observer(s): Rachael Roettenbacher & Krisztian Vida Institution(s): Michigan & Konkoly Observatory Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 8 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 4:50 until . Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Overcast, Winds Calm Observing Summary: We had a late start due to clouds. We opened around 9 p.m. when KPNO opened. The dome ran away twice when we were observing stars in the Pleiades. We ended up moving it manually for the rest of our time on that field. It tracked fine when we turned it back on for the next field. In oalign.py, the offsets suggested yesterday were accurate, but today the dx and rotator offsets were given with the wrong sign, whereas dy was OK. We lost our targets behind thickening clouds and shut down early at 5 a.m. when Kitt Peak did. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2023 Nov 15 [5:26:31]
