MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2023 Oct 10 Observer(s): Fesen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Overall a good night with just so-so seeing (~1.3-1.5 arcsec). Around midnight the dome lost its way and was rotating randomly. So I went out in the dome, read it some passages from the good book and that solved its problem and the dome again found its way home. And all was well. No other problems. As I was doing mostly spectra tonight, I could not tell if there were any telescope jumps like I could when I was imaging. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2023 Oct 11 [5:31:32]
