MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2023 Oct 16 Observer(s): M. Sitaram and M. Messere Institution(s): Columbia University Instrument: CHaS Worked for 10.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Observing Summary: During the day and in the evening, we changed to the double filter configuration for observing slightly higher redshift targets with a narrower bandpass. Collected nice data on 4 galaxy targets through some patchy clouds in the middle and end of the night. Overall, telescope and instrument performed well -- minor problems with dome tracking but they were easily fixed. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2023 Oct 17 [5:56:17]
