MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2023 Sep 08 Observer(s): Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 7 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Mid: Overcast, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Cloudy intervals throughout the night - start was clear, then socked in for a while, then mostly clear with some cloudy intervals -- was closed for a couple of hours during first half. No real problems, but W mirror cover did not open in evening. Solved this by slewing over to the west, and the cover opened rather violently, as they do, aided by gravity ------------------------------ Submitted on 2023 Sep 9 [6:10:06]
