MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2024 Apr 13 Observer(s): E. Moran et al. Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: CCDS Worked for 8.75 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: A very good night. Everything worked well, and we had no problems or delays. Winds were pretty strong for the first 2/3 of the night, and the seeing was mediocre. The seeing improved dramatically in the final 90 minutes, but there was noticeable cirrus. Oh, one problem -- in evening twilight, as we were setting up on a flux standard, the guide probe wouldn't move. Eric texted the solution, and things worked perfectly afterwards. No impact on the science. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2024 Apr 14 [5:09:36]
