MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2024 Apr 17 Observer(s): justin anderson Institution(s): MDM Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Night went smoothly. Noticing that when I attempted Alex's target the guide probe was in the field for the 1.4 outer slit. Not sure if that is an issue or just part of the territory with outer slits. Other than that seeing was average and I got all of Ed moran's data finished. Almost all of Nunez's data finished. Needed slits for rest of run: 1.2 inn, 4.0 outer, 1.2 center, 1.2 outer. Have some dissenting opinion on what size and location of the slit to view Alex's target with, so that may be a conversation after I receive some emails back. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2024 Apr 18 [6:17:42]
