MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2024 Feb 23 Observer(s): Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Aylin and Will used the 1.3m tonight and handed me the 2.4m. It had been overcast in the afternoon but then cleared before sunset, quite well, with decent seeing. Full moon! Cirrus rolled in just before dawn. I had one really odd issue with the guider, consistent with it issuing consistent west commands when it shouldn't have, but lost very little time. See the trouble report. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2024 Feb 24 [7:00:09]
