MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2024 Feb 27 Observer(s): Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 4.5 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable, mostly clear End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable, High humidity Observing Summary: Conditions improved in late afternoon and it was good enough to open by a bit after 8 PM. It was mostly clear for several hours, with some high and low cloud from time to time, but about 1 AM heavier-looking low cloud moved in, and I closed. Those largely went away but the humidity, which had been in the mid-70s, rose above 85 per cent and the all-sky camera showed condensation; it fluctuated around 85 per cent afterward (it's now 5:15) so I called it a night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2024 Feb 28 [5:25:42]
